Microtek is proud to announce its sponsorship of The Art of Photography Show 2007, a contest with $5,000 in available awards open to all Microtek users.

A world-class international exhibition, the show will feature all forms of photographic art in the hope of providing important exposure and benefits to exhibiting artists.

Call for Entries: Images created via any form of photography will be accepted for consideration — as long as part of the image is photographically created. Examples of acceptable images include those shot on film or digitally, unaltered shots, alternative process, mixed media, digital manipulations, montages, etc.

The contest will take place at the Lyceum Theatre Gallery in San Diego, CA., from April 14-May 28.

Judging the show is Tim Wride, head of the photography department at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) and founding executive director of the No Strings Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides $25,000 grants to photographic artists.

All submissions will be viewed by Mr. Wride in late February, and all winners will be notified by March 5, 2007.
