Microtek Gallery:
David Hake
Our new Microtek Gallery contributor is David Hake, who recently relocated to San Francisco after 25 years in New York City, where he was a designer and
photographer.
As the principal of a design consulting firm, Mr. Hake has created identity systems, information and environmental graphics, and interactive design structures for clients in numerous business sectors from finance to fashion to high-tech. He has earned numerous awards for design and photography, including a patent, and has lectured at colleges about graphic design.
Mr. Hake completed the post-graduate program for design at the Kunstgewerbeschule (School of Art and Design) in Basel, Switzerland, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Design degree from the University of Cincinnati's College of Design, Art, Architecture and Planning.
Prior to starting his own firm, he designed for various offices and corporations, working with some of the world's finest design pioneers and practitioners.
The images shown here exhibit the versatility and consistency of the Microtek
Visuals range from contrasty black-and-white images, to subtle colors and skin tones, to vibrant color patterns. Each scan was rendered exactly, using the SilverFast software that comes with the scanner.
